
Gaumukh Tapovan
Gaumukh Tapovan is a 46-km trek leading to the origin of the Bhagirathi River, one of the main tributaries of the Ganga, and to the Tapovan Plateau. Located in the Gangotri National Park in Uttarakhand, its highest point is 14,202 feet (4,330 meters) above sea level.
It is full of impressive landscapes and diverse flora and fauna. You'll be surrounded by the Bhagirathi Sisters peaks, Mount Shivling, Mount Meru, and the Chaukhomba Peak, reaching heights over 6,000.
